Intercessory Prayer 10.31.22

We are vessels of love, of caring, and of hope. We share the ability to reach out and offer help, O Lord. Today, we come with our prayers, our thoughts, our concerns, for the areas of our lives that are complicated and unresolved. We bring our hearts that are hurting and our thoughts that are anxious. We bring our prayers for all that has happened over the weekend, dear Lord. For all who are mourning and grieving over people who lost their lives in the crowded chaos in Soul, Korea, in the war-ravaged country of Ukraine, the circumstances of the US, and from all over the world. We pray for all who are feeling the stress from all the economic downfall throughout our world, O Lord. We pray for all who are grieving loss of jobs and economic stability. We pray for all who have lost loved ones from Cancer and other healthcare illnesses and conditions. We pray for all the broken hearts over unhealthy and unhappy relationships, O God. We pray for safety amongst all the holiday occasions happening today and this evening. We pray for all who are finding it difficult to encounter the upcoming holidays, because they are grieving the loss of someone they love. God, we turn to you in these times of intercession and offer our heart's prayers for strength and hope. God, we turn to you to guide us in the despair and. distress of grief and loss. Lord, carry us with Your tender mercies, carry us with Your loving arms and Your peace. Through Christ's love and strength, we pray. Amen.

Intercessory Prayer 11.01.22

God, today we bring to You our prayers, Lord, hear our cries and our grief. So many losses are occurring, O Lord. People are hurting and the numbers increase daily of people violently being killed, people losing loved ones, through all kinds of tragedies. There seems to be a loss of respect for life. Life is so very valuable, O God, and we continue to value other things. Help us to embrace love and not war, help to find the courage, to reach out and be merciful. The economic hardships are increasing, and families are struggling to make ends meet, food prices are too high and it hard to put food on the table. Our world is hurting, O Lord, show us and teach how we can make things better, how we can change the things we are doing and embrace the practice of peace and reconciliation. Let us seek the path of doing the right things and to hold first the goals of humanity. Through the love that is of our Christ and Savior, Amen.

Intercessory Prayer 11.02.22

God, You sent Your Son to be our ultimate intercession for all the ways we do not follow the call of love and grace. We seem to be too busy with the materialistic desires and not focused on the human context of life, of families, of how we can grow and be of help to others. God, teach us to respond to people in need, to be of assistance to those who are hurting, those who are homeless and without food. Help us to tear down the walls of hate and to work on restoring relationships, for there are too many who are heartbroken, too many who are alone and lonely. We pray for the safety of our children, especially in our schools and our communities. God, let us embrace Your plan of restoration and let us build the bridges of love and hope for a better and safer world. Through Christ's love, we pray. Amen.
